Holiday Gift Guide 2023

Tis the season for Christmas shopping! Finding the perfect gift for the people you love can be difficult, and it gets seemingly harder with time. If you are having trouble coming up with ideas, no worries. I’ve got you covered! Whether you are shopping for your partner, parents, or friends, here are plenty of options that will fill people with holiday cheer.

Accessories for Her

With the rising trend of accessorizing every outfit, new jewelry and bags never seem to go out of style. Every girl can use more dainty jewelry, and personalized necklaces are always a sweet and sentimental choice. Pairing a simple necklace with a bold or colorful earring leaves people turning heads. Two of my personal favorites include Morning Lola and Asch & Pine. Shopping small this holiday season and gift-giving locally made items makes it that much more special. These earrings are crafted with such care and love, and I am constantly receiving compliments about them.

Along with jewelry, hair accessories are also becoming seemingly popular. Hair ribbons have recently taken over my social media explore pages. This trend started back in the fall and can range from little bows at the end of french braids to a larger one for your half-up/half-down hairstyle. It’s a cute way to add sweetness with any look. As well as bows, claw clips have been elevating looks from a slick back to a messy up-do. Furthermore, chunky headbands are always a good choice for your outdoorsy friend.

Another way to accessorize an outfit is with a bag of choice. Canvas tote bags, a simple backpack, or a classy black purse can make such a good gift because it is both useful and cute!

Gifts for Him

Although it seems simple, shopping for men can be difficult! When finding a gift for that special guy in your life I think it is important to be practical. What does he actually want? What will he really use?

A new, nice, and durable water bottle will definitely get its money's worth. Caffeinated drinks including a coffee blend of his liking will also be put to good use, especially when put in a temperature control smart mug.

You can never go wrong with clothes or accessories for men either. Simple beanies, dressy belts, and watches that fit his style are sure to impress. Hoodies and flannels are a hit too. Flanouflage has been catching the attention of people recently for their modern take on flannels. Another great idea to keep your man's look clean and fresh is beard products like oils, balms, and washes.

Finally, although a little bit more on the spendy side, my own dad’s list consists of the reMarkable (a note-taking tablet) and a ridge wallet.

Around the House

Gifts for the home are an easy way to check things off your shopping list. Whether that is beautiful wood pieces like bowls and cutting boards or one-of-a-kind ceramics like mugs and vases, these handmade items are truly eye catchers that guests will also love. Locally made products are becoming more popular due to their sustainability and community connections. For example, locally made soaps and our very own Natty West candles are a great way to support small businesses while also giving products made with health in mind. You can never go wrong with something that encompasses the sweetness of your loved one in a scent.

Additionally, each year my family gets a new game for our household because they bring so much joy, laughter, and community into our home. Recently a few of my favorites have included Monopoly Deal, Code Names, and Uno Flip.

Lastly, at the end of the day I love being cuddled up under a cozy blanket and reading beautiful bibles and devotionals. Leaving these out on book shelfs or coffee tables can also be really great conversation starters with guests. Devotionals are a great gift that can be used time and time again or passed on to others.

Thanks!

It is so much fun to watch the people you buy gifts for open them with excitement. Hopefully this post helped you come up with some new and creative gift ideas for those in your life. I encourage you to shop small this holiday season while remembering the real reason why we are giving. Merry Christmas and happy holiday shopping!
